Here's to a Fabulous 2024!
As we come to the end of 2023, its customary for us to review the successes and challenges of the past six months, whilst also looking to the future.
Brand Architekts, in line with many of our suppliers and customers, has been challenged by the well documented economic and geopolitical headwinds, which has led to a cost-of-living crisis, as demonstrated by increasing interest rates and inflation. Although this has affected some of our more premium positioned brands and products, we are beginning to see some exciting green shoots of growth across our Focus & Nurture brand portfolio.
Over the last few months, we have launched Dirty Works into 700 Watsons stores across the Middle East and Asia; we have launched Super Facialist into 580 Holland & Barrett stores; extended The Solution’s distribution into Waitrose and Boots and secured 100% ownership of the MR Haircare brand, which will be relaunched as MR Expert Solutions. Brand Architekts’ s mission, and thereby its brand portfolio and focus, is on developing and growing our brands that provide “problem solving solutions for everyday beauty”.
In addition to the welcome green shoots of recovery, the business has undergone several personnel challenges, but I couldn’t be prouder of how well the team has recently integrated with one another and embodied our values of collaboration, agility, passion and innovation. The evolution and recent success of the business is down to the hard work and positive attitude of our people, but also to our strong partnerships with our customers; suppliers and consumers alike – for that I’d like to say thank you.
Looking forward to the next year, we are excited about the roll out of the Super Facialist Vitamin C & Me digital campaign, the launch of our proprietary Sleep Smart range of night moisturisers and the launch of our new vegan collagen skincare line. As we enter a new tanning season we will be pushing our new Skinny Tan Body Glow gradual tanner range, implementing effective digital media strategies and focusing on profit and productivity through consumer friendly promotions. We will be launching The Solution Menopause in the Spring, supported with a tie up with GenM and a new DTC site. We are also excited to be seeing more distribution gains for Dirty Works both domestically and Internationally.
I’d like to thank the team, past and present, and wish everyone a well-earned rest. I hope that everyone can enjoy some quality time with loved ones and reflect on what they’ve achieved. Whilst the world continues to be ravaged by war and political tensions, I hope that there may be light and hope in the future for everyone.
