Breast Cancer Awareness Collaboration
Skinny Tan, Liberty Poole and CoppaFeel!, the UK's only breast cancer awareness charity for young people, have embarked on an extensive campaign educating young women on how to discover breast cancer.
Although breast cancer is rare in younger people, it can still happen. This is why we, and our brand ambassador Liberty Poole, are proud to partner with CoppaFeel!. Their aim is to talk about a serious message in a light-hearted way, empowering people to start healthy habits for life.
The campaign can be seen across social media, PR and events throughout October, the official Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Limited Edition Mousse
To mark Skinny Tan’s second year of partnership with CoppaFeel!, we’ve launched a limited edition Skinny Tan & CoppaFeel! Self-Tanning Mousse.
Adorned with breasts of all shapes and sizes the bottle has a QR code on the reverse for easy access to information on how to check for breast cancer.
Statistics
It’s estimated that 1 in 7 women will be affected by breast cancer in their lifetime. It’s the most common cancer amongst women aged 25-49, with around 2300 aged 39 or under being diagnosed every year.* With that in mind, it’s rather worrying to know that only 29% of women aged 18-35 years old check their boobs monthly; and only 50% of women would immediately visit their doctor upon discovering early signs and symptoms**
CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! is the first breast cancer charity in the UK to solely create awareness amongst young people, with the aim of instilling the knowledge and tools they need to get to know their bodies.
Donations
Skinny Tan and CoppaFeel! collaborate throughout the year but we have ramped up the activity during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to inform young people about breast cancer, provide easy examples of what to do and to raise money for CoppaFeel!.
Until the end of October, Skinny Tan has four different product offers for which part of the proceeds is donated to CoppaFeel!. They can be found here.
